The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough HIEC - Education

In its first few months of operation, the HIEC has concentrated mainly on educational initiatives and has so far initiated projects in the following areas:

Improving the management of breathlessness in multi-professional teams caring for patients with advanced disease by a collaborative educational intervention
An educational initiative to improve community and hospital end-of-life care in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Education and Accreditation Programme for Primary Healthcare Professionals for delivery of an Integrated Care Pathway in COPD
To creating innovative educational models and tools to support effective Self Management (SM) and Supported Self Management (SSM) for patients, carers and staff in an integrated COPD care pathway
Credentialing professional practice through quality improvement strategies in community based diabetes care
Urology 2010: Urology Network
Long-term conditions learning and development programme - Working at the Interface of Physical and Mental Health
Practice-based whole team training for dementia care in hospitals and the community
