The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough HIEC - Innovation
Innovation projects
The HIEC is now exploring a number of technological avenues for the improvement of care for people with long-term conditions including:
- New TeleHealth and TeleCare technologies in the home and community including mobile networks, patient self-care and remote sensor-based systems
- Systems for improving cross-organisational working, especially between public and private sectors, to maintain sustainable care provision
- Better ways for technology entrepreneurs to interface with health and care providers to create innovative services for Cambridgeshire and the east of England
- New approaches to communications media to improve public awareness of the changes to the health and care economy as they affect the care of people with long-term conditions
