Strategic leadership Position for Cambridge University Health Partners
02 November 2010
The Director of the Academic Science System will provide leadership in the further development of CUHP as an Academic Health Science System.
The role will, in particular, involve building partnerships in clinical service, and their integration with education and research, with other providers in the surrounding healthcare system - the regional hospitals and primary care organisations - to create a group of regional associates of the AHSC, together forming an Academic Health Sciences System.
"It is intended that the Director of the Academic Health Science System will not only help to maximise the impact of the current partnership, but also develop relationships with a wider set of potential future partners, for mutual benefit and advancement." Said Professor JG Patrick Sissons, Executive Director of the Academic Health Science Centre.
